SIGCAT '96, set to take place May 19-23 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Virginia, will be THE event this year for organizations selling serious CD-ROM solutions for industry and government. Several commercial shows target the entertainment oriented CD-ROM market sectors. Only SIGCAT '96 targets the business and government markets.
SIGCAT (Special Interest Group on CD-ROM Applications and Technology) is the professional association for 8,500 people involved in CD-ROM for business and government applications. The association based Conference and Exposition will draw 1,500 buyers and specifiers interested in your products and services. The mid-Atlantic location was selected to minimize attendee travel expense.
SIGCAT '96 provides you a unique opportunity to participate in the Conference in several ways. Seven different exhibitor venues are planned to maximize your exposure at SIGCAT '96 and ensure your marketing dollars bring an optimal return.
First is the exhibit hall where 72 booths and 40 tabletops will be on display. SIGCAT '96 will have two full days devoted to exhibitors, with very few (if any) sessions competing with floor traffic. There will be the traditional Exhibitors' Reception on the Monday night preceeding the two exhibition days. Nearly a third of the booths are already committed, call Mike Burrows (301-933-7200) or John Welch (703-435-5200) and reserve yours now!
Another venue will be available as the SIGCAT Product Profiles. There will be a dedicated room near the exhibit area (complete with multimedia presentation equipment) where exhibitors will have the opportunity to present a 15-minute update on their company's products and services. These presentations will be organized so that similar products and services are grouped together in order to make the most effective use of the attendees' time. These presentation slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact Mike Burrows (301-933-7200) or John Welch (703-435-5200) now to reserve your presentation time.
A third method of "getting your message out" will involve direct and in-direct participation in the SIGCAT conference sessions.
Direct Participation - SIGCAT program planners will be developing sessions that address state-of-the-art topics and issues in the application and technology of CD-ROM in business and government. If someone in your organization has a topic or issue that they feel should be addressed at SIGCAT '96, please contact Reed MacMillan at SIGCAT headquarters (703-435-4661). Also, if there is a particular individual who could make a professional, objective presentation on such a topic or issue, we would like to have their name for consideration by the program planners.
